A week in the life
The gt.school experience
Every gt.school student has a personal coach, who provides guidance, mentorship and motivation. You can read more about our coaching program here. Students and coaches meet 1-2 hours per week to guide, support and motivate students in their work in both in and outside of gt.school.
Independent Lessons & Exercises
gt.school provides access to accelerated learning through our suite of over 60 adaptive learning apps, and our mastery-based learning approach. Students typically use apps 30 mins - 1 hour per weekday. Academic work is done independently, when it is convenient for the student, often after school, during study halls, or on weekends.
Connecting with Other Students
The gt.community is a place for students to inspire each other, learn from each other, and connect around academic and non-academic topics. Students connect in a Discord server, and come together for workshops and group activities with other Gifted & Talented students in the program.
Life Skills Workshops
gt.kids come together for engaging workshops around core life skills, such as time management, study habits, and goal setting. These are not lectures! They are engaging activities with personal exercises and action plans. Our workshops currently take place during orientation, and we'll be expanding these with more activities soon.
From the Students
More time for the things you love
gt.students overwhelmingly report that the greatest benefits of gt.school is 'getting your time back to do more of the things you love.' Through coaching around effective study habits, and time management exercises to help students see where their time is going and optimize their schedules, gt.students find they can get more academic work done in less time.

What Our Students Say
I was feeling like I was falling behind even though my grades didn't show it yet. After the Learning Loss Checkup made things very clear for me, I wanted to see how fast I could go. In less then 3 months, I was back on track and actually mastered 6 additional advanced math courses. They measured my learning speed and I was learning this material 14x faster than I was in traditional school! Needless to say, I have a lot less stress and much more time to do other things now instead of worrying about schoolwork.
Sathirtha H. (student in New York)
"I felt that my potential was being wasted in school and I wanted it to become even more advanced and hone my talents. So I decided to join gt.school and I just finished their bootcamp. And now I'm doing so much more: daily practice habits, setting ambitious goals, taking ownership and more."
"I've learned numerous skills: how to set ambitious goals, and so much more, even though I was at first weary of the time commitment, I don't think I could be doing half of what I'm doing right now, for example, balancing five AP courses."

When we went back to school, I started to get more frustrated with math. It wasn't coming naturally to me anymore. I tried tutors and using apps online, but nothing really helped. I was starting to hate math for the first time. I ending up taking the Learning Loss Checkup and was able to see exactly what was keeping me stuck. I now really enjoy math again and actually got hired to be a math tutor! I’m pretty positive that never would have happened if it wasn't for gt.school finding my gaps and showing me how to fix them at a pace that worked for me.
Ben R. (student in Ohio)
“For each of the life skills, we got to do really awesome assignments that taught us these life skills but also showed us how we can apply these lessons to our real life. That’s what I really liked about the assignments, was how personal they were, and how I felt like I wasn’t just understanding a concept but I was learning how I would be able to apply it to my life.”
“I love the freedom and availability to do all of my work and all of my projects with such lovely coaches who care so much about who you are, what your dreams are, and what you want to do with your life.”
